Did you know?

Women in the United States are three times more likely to die from childbirth-related complications than women in other high-income countries. For Black and Indigenous mothers, the risks are even higher due to systemic inequities.

These statistics are alarming, but together, we can create meaningful change. The Mainline Maternity Community Collective exists to bridge the gaps in maternal health by fostering collaboration, sharing resources, and amplifying the voices of families and caregivers.

Our collective is built on the idea that no family should face these challenges alone. Whether itโ€™s through workshops, advocacy, or peer support, we empower families with the knowledge, tools, and connections they need to thrive during one of lifeโ€™s most transformative journeys.

Support Families

Through workshops, community programs, and
educational resources that empower parents and caregivers.

Known to many as โ€œNurse Cynthia,โ€ she brings two decades of experience caring for mothers and babies across the U.S. As a Maternal-Newborn expert, her work has always centered on what happens before, during, and after birth. Cynthia founded Mainline Maternity Care and the Mainline Maternity Community Collective to close the gaps she saw in real-world care. Her approach is rooted in prevention and evidence based care; teaching families what to look for, what questions to ask, and how to advocate for themselves in every setting. She works side by side with OB/GYNs, midwives, doulas, and social workers to create consistent, compassionate care that puts safety, mental health, and education first.

At the heart of everything she teaches is a simple idea: Know Before You Go. For Cynthia, that means giving families the confidence and clarity they need long before labor begins and long after the baby comes home.
