Community for Moms & Families

Why Our Community Exist

Every day, mothers are dying from preventable causes, right here in our own communities.
The numbers speak for themselves, and theyโ€™re unacceptable. Maryland continues to face one of the highest maternal mortality and infant morbidity rates in the nation, especially among Black women and families.

Atย Mainline Maternity Care, we believe no mother should suffer or struggle simply because she lacked access to care, education, or support. Thatโ€™s why we exist, to close the gaps, bring evidence-based information directly to families, and create safe spaces where moms can learn, heal, and thrive.

Our mission is to move from awareness to action. We meet families where they are โ€” in their neighborhoods, community centers, and homes โ€” providing trusted, up-to-date, nurse-led guidance designed to prevent complications, improve outcomes, and strengthen the next generation.

Because when mothers are well, families are healthier and happier, building strong communities.

Self Care Workshop

In partnership with Keyโ€™s Essentials and the Judy Center at Featherbed Lane Elementary, Mainline Maternity Care hosted a Self-Care Vision Board Workshop designed for moms and families to slow down and reconnect with themselves. The session offered a creative outlet to reflect on personal goals, wellness practices, and the balance between motherhood and self-care. Participants shared stories, laughter, and encouragement while turning blank boards into visual reminders of the futures they want to create for themselves and their families.

Workshops like these are not just about art supplies and conversations theyโ€™re about building community, restoring confidence. Reminding families that caring for themselves is a powerful act of care for their children. We invite you to explore our upcoming events and join us in creating spaces that nurture healing, growth, and connection.
