Nurture in Nature for Maternal Mental Health 2025–2026 Series

About the Series

About the Partnership
Mainline Maternity Care and Carrie Murray Nature Center have come together to create Nurture in Nature, a first-of-its-kind wellness series supporting mothers and families in Baltimore. The program blends maternal health education, mindfulness, and nature-based connection, helping parents navigate pregnancy and postpartum life with more calm, confidence, and community.

Why This Matters

Maternal mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression affect 1 in 5 mothers, often without enough access to care. By bringing maternal wellness into nature, this partnership makes support more accessible, culturally responsive, and community-rooted. Each session is led by nurses and naturalists who guide participants through gentle learning and grounding practices designed to reduce stress, foster resilience, and strengthen parent-child bonds.

Who It’s For

Expecting and new parents, caregivers, and support partners. Babies in arms are welcome. No prior experience needed, just comfortable shoes and an open mind.

What Families Can Expect

  • Across the 2025–2026 season, each 90-minute workshop offers:
  • A gentle nature immersion led by Carrie Murray naturalists
  • Guided movement and mindfulness practices to ease stress and tension
  • Nurse-led discussions on maternal health, recovery, and emotional wellbeing
  • Practical tools you can use at home in minutes
  • Time to connect with other parents in a calm, supportive setting

Themes across the year include resilience, mindfulness, nourishment, rest, and connection.
